MY STORY
What inspired Mountains of Love
From the founder Neeraj Kumar. A personal note from the heart behind Mountains of Love.

In 2021, I was pulled into a profound transformation. While studying executive leadership at Stanford GSB and working with fitness and mindset coaches in Dubai, I rediscovered yoga after nearly 30 years. That return to the mat sparked deep transformation and healing journey —physically, mentally and emotionally.

My fitness journey with Yoga and meditation helped me reverse prediabetes and hypertension, and reconnect with my authentic self—aligned across Mind, Body, Soul, Heart, Awareness, and Energy. This also helped on sustainable performance in my professional executive life.

Stanford gave me tools to fast-track my career; I reached 3-year goals in just two. But it was yoga that led me to something even greater: an awakening to choose my authentic self, and to follow my dreams with heart full of love and courage.

In May 2022, with no mountaineering experience, I answered a soul calling to trek to Everest Base Camp. That journey began a new chapter—Summiting many world famous mountains between 2022-2025, like Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Lobuche East and Island Peak in Nepal, Aconcagua in Argentina. Each climb brought me closer to becoming my best version. This is now my way of living, giving my best to face challenges, enjoy living in present moment, and inspiring others on their journey to become best version of themselves.
In August 2024, I became a Yoga alliance certified coach in Bali. When I told my teachers I was there to deepen my practice, they said

‘It is now your responsibility to share your practice and grow with it.’
That moment lit a fire.

I had accumulation of knowledge and skills , and felt the calling to share it with the world and contribute in some way to support people on the journey of transformation and personal development. In August 2024, while at the summit of Mount Batur in Bali, this idea of Mountains of Love, was born—to share what I’ve lived, to hold space for others to rise, and to help people lead from the inside out.
It’s more than a platform.
It’s a movement.
A community.
A place to climb higher and dive deeper.
Guided by values, grounded in Experience. At the heart of this journey are four core values: Humility, Courage, Curiosity, and Compassion.
These values have shaped every step—how Neeraj leads, how he lives, and how he loves. They show up in his ability to listen deeply, embrace uncertainty, face fears with grace, ask bold questions, and lead others with both humility and courage.
A life lived across continents & conscious shifts with nearly two decades in corporate leadership across India, Southeast Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East, he’s built, led, and coached high-performing teams in one of the world’s most demanding industries: Automotive.
Daily disciplines of a conscious leader

His life is his practice. Every morning begins with mediation, journaling, and gratitude. His day starts at 5 am in morning, he grounds himself through meditation, breathwork, and movement—whether it’s yoga, running, or strength training. Mountain climbing is more than a passion; it’s a way of life that keeps his mind sharp, heart open, and soul aligned.
His passions, his purpose
-
Mountaineering makes him humble, inspires him that he is part of something bigger than himself. It teaches him leadership under pressure, trust in the unknown, and resilience to thrive in challanging situations.
-
Yoga reconnects him with living in present moment, humility, and self love.
-
Mentorship allows him to give back and share with other what he once sought—guidance, inspiration, and belief.
-
Conscious leadership is his way of transforming ambition into impact—with Purpose, Love and Authenticity.
He teaches what he lives

Mountains of Love is not just a program. It’s an embodiment of his own path—a fusion of East and West, logic and intuition, a balance of Yin and Yang energy, achievement and surrender. His journey is proof that we can rise—powerfully, peacefully, and purposefully—when we lead with our Authenticity.

Rising above: the journey of Neeraj Kumar
“It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.”
— Sir Edmund Hillary

Neeraj Kumar’s life is a living testament to the power of purpose, resilience, and deep inner transformation. A global executive leader, mountaineer, and certified transformational coach based in Dubai, Neeraj embodies what it means to lead with heart and live with intention.

Born and raised in the rich cultural tapestry of India, Neeraj’s path has spanned continents, industries, and elevations—both literal and metaphorical. With over 18 years of experience in the corporate world, he’s held leadership positions across Fortune 500 companies such as Stellantis, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, Mahindra & Mahindra, and General Electric Europe. His career journey has taken him through Europe, India, the Middle East, ASEAN, and the Pacific, shaping a global mindset anchored in curiosity, courage, and humility.

Yet beyond the boardroom and Executive career, Neeraj’s truest calling to share his journey with the world came from a quieter place—his soul.

Resilience forged in fire

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”
— Rumi

Few know that as a child, Neeraj faced a year-long paralysis. What once felt like a limitation became, years later, his greatest teacher. With strong willpower, love and perseverance, he trained his body and mind for the impossible. In 2022, he reached Everest Base Camp. Then came the 6,165m Imja Tse (Island Peak), Mount Kilimanjaro in 2023, and Lobuche East (6,090m) in 2024.

His legs, once a source of trauma, became a symbol of power.
His ambition is now crystal clear: to climb all Seven Summits and dedicate each step to the power of human potential rooted in love.
Mountains as mirrors

“The way to the top of the mountain is always within.”
— Morihei Ueshiba - founder of Aikido (a Japanese martial art)

For Neeraj, the mountain is not a goal—it’s a teacher. During his attempt at Aconcagua in Argentina, he made the courageous decision to turn back just 310 meters from the summit, choosing himself over summiting Aconcagua. That moment taught him what no classroom ever could: sometimes, wisdom lies in surrender. Leadership is not about conquering at all costs, but about tuning in, honoring the team, the moment, and yourself.

The conscious athlete

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what
lies within us.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Neeraj's life integrates both peak performance and profound presence. As a certified yoga and mindset teacher (Bali Yoga School, Indonesia), he blends ancient wisdom with modern leadership. Yoga, meditation, breathwork, training in gym and hiking—these are not hobbies, but pathways to alignment. His philosophy centers on the union of mind, body, and soul in service of one’s life purpose.
Guiding others to conscious leadership
“Be the leader you wish you had.”
— Simon Sinek

Today, Neeraj dedicates himself to mentoring others who wish to rise beyond roles and reconnect with their true essence. His core values—self-awareness, humility, courage, and curiosity—aren’t just words, they’re lived practices.

Through Mountains of Love, he shares his story, his tools, and his heart, guiding others to become conscious leaders in their own lives—leaders who act from alignment, with intention and love.

Driven by meaning

“Summit is what drives us, but its the climb itself, what matters”
—Conrad Anker

The pursuit of the Seven Summits is not about glory—it’s about growth. With every climb, Neeraj meets extraordinary souls and collects stories that become part of a larger mission. This driving force fuels him, energizes his work, and awakens something in everyone he meets.

His story reminds us: No matter how high the mountain, the true summit is always within.
